On the 3rd of August we celebrated the 19th edition of the Condesa de Villapadierna Cup, the most emblematic tournament in the history of Villa Padierna and one of the most important events in the golf calendar of the Costa del Sol.

This year the tournament was played on our Flamingos course and almost a hundred players took part. The heat and the terral granted a truce and the participants enjoyed a magnificent golf tournament accompanied at the end by a spectacular cocktail on the terrace of Sushi 99, one of the eight restaurants of the Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Hotel.

In the first men's category, Rafael Picón Campos was proclaimed champion, and second place went to Marek Sindelar. In the second men's category the winner was Stuart Gardiner Iturregui and Fernando Hinojosa Poch was runner-up. In the women's category Aurora López-Francos Riaño was the winner and the overall winner in the Scratch category was José Ugía González.

Congratulations to the champions and thanks to all the players for participating, many of them, one more year, in our great event of the year. We look forward to seeing you all next year at the twentieth edition of the Copa Condesa de Villapadierna.
