We are thrilled that the second edition of the World Junior Golf Championship (WJGC) has been held in Spain, and specifically at our home, Villa Padierna. It has been an honor and a pleasure to welcome over 250 players from around the world and their families to such a pioneering and important event for junior golf.
The championship, sponsored by the Daily Mail, took place from February 20th to 22nd on our Flamingos and Alferini courses, where players from 36 countries competed, and juniors from nine different nationalities were crowned champions.
We know that Flamingos and Alferini are two demanding courses, but the young participants have shown their talent and exceeded all expectations. Additionally, during the tournament, we enjoyed spectacular sunny weather, with a bit of wind on the final day, which made the competition even more exciting.
We have been the hosts and have put all our effort and enthusiasm to make it an event worthy of the trust placed in us. But we want to acknowledge the excellent work of the organization, led by the team captained by Neil Randall.
See you next year, at the third edition of the WJGC, from February 19th to 21st, 2025. We look forward to seeing you all!
